New! BLUE MIDNIGHT
AROMATICS
Black Pepper:
Spicy, intriguing, masculine.
Black pepper reveals a warm, woody, spicy quality that invades the entire composition of a fragrance because it provides so much depth.
If you dig woody, oriental scents, look for a dash of black pepper in your fragrance formula.
French Lavender:
Complex, sophisticated, beguiling.
While we used some pretty big words to describe French lavender, this note is truly a classic. It’s familiar, smooth, and has a calming influence. It’s a floral note often used as a subtle top note in men’s fragrances because it integrates perfectly with green, earthy, and woody blends.
Mandarin:
Bright, aromatic citrus.
Mandarin is a bright and juicy note that belongs to the citrus fragrance family, and it’s often paired with other complimentary citrusy notes like bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime. However, it also harmoniously compliments woody and floral notes, as with this fragrance blend, providing the perfect balance of fresh and earthy.
Driftwood & Salted Amber:
Sun-soaked, mystical, compelling.
Driftwood adds a touch of mustiness, but in a good way. It also possesses notes of cedar, wild freesia, and jasmine. Salted amber provides sweet, spicy, and aromatic notes that conjure up feelings of an exotic vacation — or even a sensual date night.
BIG SIR
AROMATICS
Marine Accord:
Like an exhilarating breath of sea air.
As the name suggests, marine notes are associated with a beachy vacation. Not to get too technical on you, but they’re also referred to as iodized or ozonated notes. They’re incorporated for their invigorating freshness — just like a sea breeze, pina colada not included.
Sandalwood & Woody Amber:
Warm, dry, woodsy.
Sandalwood is a bold woody scent brimming with organic and earthy notes, such as cedarwood, patchouli, and ferns. It’s often compared to the smell of a snifter glass of an excellent smoky scotch or bourbon bottoms up, gents. Amber does not smell like its natural, fossilized, scentless resin. Amber notes are warm, exotic, and sensual, so think frankincense, vanilla, and tonka bean.
Mandarin:
Bright, aromatic citrus.
Mandarin is a bright and juicy note that belongs to the citrus fragrance family, and it’s often paired with other complimentary citrusy notes like bergamot, lemon, grapefruit, and lime. However, it also harmoniously compliments woody, aquatic, and floral notes, as with this fragrance blend, providing the perfect balance of fresh, salty, and earthy.
Juniper:
Deeply green, fresh, soothing.
Love a good gin and tonic? Then you’ll likely gravitate towards juniper, the spirits’ key ingredient. It’s zippy, sappy, and incredibly fresh. It’s powerful, which is why it’s used sparingly in fragrance.
TURBO
AROMATICS
Rosemary:
Refreshing, cooling, herbaceous.
The scent of rosemary is strong, astringent, and similar to eucalyptus, so it’s no surprise that’s another note you’ll find in this scent. It provides fresh herbaceous, green notes without the sweetness of herbs like basil and mint.
Eucalyptus:
Invigorating, woody, crisp.
If not correctly balanced, eucalyptus can come across as too medicinal because it contains 90% eucalyptol, a bold terpene (a naturally occurring chemical compound found in plants that promotes various aromas), with a powerful yet appeasing minty smell. It also contains terpenes like limonene, cineol, and pinene, which create the perfect combination of woody and citrusy notes.
Juniper:
Deeply green, fresh, soothing.
Juniper is fresh, herbaceous, and spicy (much like a good gin and tonic), but it pairs perfectly with the other refreshing notes in this fragrance. While it’s typically used sparingly, as they say, a dab’ll do ya. But no need to worry. We’ve figured out the foolproof balance in our Turbo fragrance — you’re welcome!
ALL-OVER
AROMATICS
Citrus:
Fresh, zesty, energizing.
You need not book a ticket to Italy, China, Mexico, Spain, India, or Brazil (aka top citrus-producing countries) to experience a citrus blast. Whether it’s sharp bergamot, refreshing lemon, zesty lime, or eye-opening grapefruit, citrus is the perfect note in an all-over body product or spray to help you feel fresh and confident all day long.
Mint:
Herbal, cooling, uplifting.
Sure, mint is great in tea (or a Derby Day julep or a trip to the sauna, for that matter), but when it comes to fragrance, this cooling, the aromatic scent is a superb accent to floral, citrusy, and woody notes as seen in our All-Over formulation. It invigorates, stimulates, and it’s the ultimate mood-booster.
Oakmoss:
Earthy, woodsy, dry.
Oakmoss is particular because it possesses earthy, wet, leathery, and slightly smoky notes spiked with a touch of musk and amber. This unique note combo works splendidly with its citrusy, minty partners.
BLACK RESERVE
AROMATICS
Cardamom:
Sweet, spicy, compelling.
This invigorating, fresh, aromatic note is reminiscent of rosemary and eucalyptus with a dash of lemon and pepper. While it sounds like a dish in your Friday night delivery, it’s a unique and alluring note when used in fragrance and body products.
Red Cedarwood:
Soft, cooling, woodsy.
This pleasant, warm note is found in many men’s fragrances. It embodies spicy scents like sandalwood, ginger, cinnamon, frankincense, and cypress. It blends perfectly with complimenting notes like bergamot.
Bergamot:
Bright, citrus, spicy floral.
Coined the “prince of citrus,” bergamot is a bright, citrusy scent that pays homage to lime but with the addition of resinous, herbal, and floral notes.
Lavender:
Herbal, sophisticated, complex.
Lavender is truly a classic. It’s familiar, smooth, and has a relaxing influence. It’s a floral note often used as a subtle top note in men’s fragrances because it integrates perfectly with green, earthy, and woody blends, as found in Jack Black Reserve.
