FIND THE FACIAL CLEANSER THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU

February 4, 2015 by Jack

There’s no shortage of options when it comes to facial cleansers. Store shelves are packed with products boasting all sorts of benefits. But how do you know which product is right for your skin?

You’re in luck.

We happen to make a few cleansers of our own. Here’s our down and dirty guide to getting clean.

Deep Dive is an innovative clay-based facial cleanser that works for normal, combination and oily skin. It washes away dead skin cells and buildup to give you fresher, firmer skin. This multi-functional formula contains kaolin clay to draw out deep-lying dirt and helps control oiliness, while the volcanic ash works to restore, repair and smooth skin. For a deep-down cleansing, use as a purifying mask. It’s fragrance and paraben free and safe for sensitive skin—it’s even vegan.

Pure Clean gently cleanses without over-drying your skin. If you’re prone to drier skin already, this is the product for you. It’s a dual-purpose, two-in-one liquid cleanser and toner that keeps your skin fresh and smooth. Though there's no added fragrance, the coconut and aloe produce a natural aroma, which prompted one customer to exclaim, “I look forward to washing my face JUST so I can smell this face wash!”

Want fewer in-grown hairs and younger-looking skin? Then add Face Buff to your regimen. This pre-shave cleanser and scrub clears the way for an easier, closer shave by smoothing the surface of the skin and clearing congested pores. Regular exfoliation with its eco-friendly scrubbing beads will gently slough off dead cells to expose younger, more radiant skin beneath. Use this cleanser two to four times a week before you shave and feel the results immediately.

If your face is showing signs of aging faster than you’d like, the DIY Power Peel offers you a chance to slow down time. It’s a high-potency formula similar to a professional-strength peel, but with less irritation and downtime, all in a simple pad. It exfoliates, diminishes fine lines and wrinkles, increases firmness and lightens dark spots, and it was the Men’s Health Award Winner for Best Peel in 2012. It’s so strong (read: effective), you only need to use it two to four times a week.

So, to sum up, Deep Dive is great for oily skin; Pure Clean works best for drier skin; Face Buff helps minimize shave irritation; and the DIY Power Peel provides serious firepower to slow down the hands of time. Of course your skin is unique to you, so once you start using a product, make sure you give it a few weeks of consistent use before you make a decision about the results. No matter your skin type, there is a product out there for you. Happy hunting!
