TITLE: Marketing Manager
LOCATION: Carrollton, TX

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing Manager will help plan and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for propelling the growth of the Jack Black brand via brand awareness, new customer acquisition, marketing communications, product education & newness, and expansion of the product portfolio. This position will report to the Marketing Director and will partner closely with cross functional teams including Creative, Product Development, Purchasing, Planning, Sales & International.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to craft content strategies & experiences that engage new and existing customers through an omnichannel ecosystem via retailer, digital & product marketing strategies:
    • •  Oversee development and execution of retailer specific marketing promotions and visuals
    • •  Implement effective digital marketing, advertising and sampling programs to build awareness, trial and conversion
    • •  Determine final product positioning, pricing, claims, name, marketing copy, and artwork & develop detailed plans for new product launches across B+M and online channels, including sales strategy, supporting collateral and merchandising tools, and communication to field sales team.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships including (but not limited to): Search, Shopping, Re-marketing/Programmatic, PR, Social, Reviews, Auto-Replenishment, etc.
    • •  Create ongoing analysis around reach, engagement & demand while documenting successes & misses across channels
  • Manage Planning & Execution of Paid & Organic Social Media strategies
  • Plan and develop marketing tool kits for retailers and distributors
  • Work closely with creative, sales, product development, and international to develop marketing, merchandising and promotional programs to drive global successes
  • Oversee internal processes (i.e. Brief creation & submission) of marketing team
  • Track Marketing expenses within budget determined by Marketing Director
  • Plan & Execute external advertising & media Campaigns
  • Oversee strategy, execution and recapping of Sports Marketing programs.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing roles of increasing responsibility and seniority in the retail industry, preferably in beauty or personal care.
  • Experience working across departments, with demonstrated success planning and accomplishing goals.
  • Skilled at leading others, but fully capable of accomplishing tasks independently when needed.
    • •  Strong team player with the drive to help assure high quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, effectively manage time and respond to changing priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong combination of both creative and analytical skills a must; ability to proactively gather, analyze and evaluate complex data.
  • Strong computer skills a must (proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • MBA a plus, but not required.
