Assists the planning team in ensuring accurate and efficient inventory flow between the warehouse and retail partners and works strategically to meet sales objectives and support company initiatives.

● Deliver weekly reports providing accurate and up-to-date inventory levels.

● Process all inventory receipts and work with warehouse to ensure merchandise is received in a timely manner.

● Monitor purchase orders, inventory levels, and transfers to maximize stock levels across all locations (Jack Black Warehouse, Vendor locations, and International locations).

● Coordinate with purchasing to ensure prompt delivery of merchandise.

● Work with the Planning Manager in creating and communicating purchase orders to the purchasing team.

● Team with Planning Manager to update planning grids and eventually lead the development and maintenance of international planning grid.

● Monitor vendor inventory reports and calculate scrap rates on components to reconcile monthly inventory levels.

● Work alongside marketing, digital, international and sales teams to review and optimize sampling programs across all channels and to plan future initiatives that correspond to marketing and sale strategies.

● Update production BOMs (Bill of Materials) for new SKUs or component updates as needed and block SKUs as they become obsolete.

● Attend regular sales, and planning meetings and deliver updates on the following topics:
o Availability
o Estimated delivery of new or out-of-stock SKUs
o Relevant dates and information that could impact sales, sampling, or marketing initiatives

● Generate various reports to assist in meeting inventory objectives.



The successful candidate for this position possesses a strategic mindset, a remarkable eye for detail, and a healthy appreciation for well-formatted spreadsheets. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


● University degree plus 2-3 years related forecasting, planning or purchasing experience.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to proactively analyze and evaluate complex data.

● Ability to work independently and as a core member of the team.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once, with strong attention to detail.

● Experience in a retail environment preferred.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. Expert level Excel skills a must.
