CAN WE GET A RE-DO?

December 29, 2016 by Jack

Your appeals to “Make it stop, already” throughout this unforgiving year have finally been heeded.

We’re talking about a year that brought us Zika virus, Brexit (and yet another annoying British portmanteau), and a pretty wild presidential election. Not to mention the deaths of a veritable dream team of people you’d want at your celebrity dinner party: Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Harper Lee, Prince, Shimon Peres, Muhammad Ali, Arnold Palmer, Leonard Cohen, Gene Wilder, and Carrie Fisher — and that’s leaving off more than a few.

So suffice it to say, 2016 will not be missed.

It wasn’t all bad, though. Team U.S.A. brought home 121 medals from the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and Michael Phelps proved that he is, in fact, a machine. LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to topple the Golden State Warriors in one of the most thrilling Game 7s ever played. And the Cubs won the World Series for this first time since 1908 — the same year the first Model T was manufactured, and more than a decade before women could vote.

Whether you’re about to enter 2017 with a reason to smile or you’re anticipating doom, we’re pretty sure 2016 has left you in dire need of an all-over re-fresh. Here are a few tips to help with your spiritual purge and start the new year with a clean slate:

  • Plan on testing the capacity of your water heater because you’re gonna savor this one. Let the steam soak in while the Blue Lotus and Lava Rock in our Turbo Body Bar® Scrubbing Soap help exfoliate and clean deep for healthier-looking skin. Use our award-winning Double-Header® Shampoo + Conditioner to round out your routine.
  • Once you dry off, apply a nickel-size amount of our Deep Dive® Glycolic Facial Cleanser, and let it dry for about 10 minutes before rinsing. The cleanser doubles as a clay mask that uses Kaolin Clay and Volcanic Ash to help remove impurities without stripping your skin of needed moisture.
  • Follow up with our Power Peel Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads for results similar to a professional-strength peel but with less irritation. Glycolic Acid helps reduce lines and wrinkles and lighten dark spots while Salicylic Acid works to remove dead skin cells, refine texture and minimize pore size.
  • Finish with an effective moisturizer to help build and maintain a proper moisture balance. For extra anti-aging benefits, try Dry Erase® Ultra-Calming Face Cream.
