GO EXOTIC OR GO HOME

July 20, 2016 by Jack

Where you go says a lot about who you are. And if our Instagram feed is any indication, Jack Black fans are explorers — risk-takers who know the value of a life well lived. In that spirit, we thought we’d highlight a few of our favorite destinations from Travel + Leisure’s list of Best Places to Travel in 2016 to represent some of the places our fans are headed. While it may be a little late for you to scrap your plans, at the very least you should glean some tips for which products might help you make the most of your time off.

Saint Helena: Located 2,500 miles east of Rio de Janeiro and nearly 2,000 miles from South Africa, Britain’s second-oldest remaining overseas territory is one of the most remote islands in the world. But considering the island’s mild climate and stunning beauty, it’s probably safe to say that Napoleon Bonaparte’s ego was likely the only part of him that suffered during his exile there. Saint Helena’s mild climate also allows you to focus more on what you’ll do and less on what hardships you might face: in other words, the perfect getaway for people who love to do exactly that — get (far, far) away. Keep it simple and pack our Jet Set Traveler, exactly what you need to cleanse, shave, moisturize, and protect.

Tbilisi, Georgia: The origins of wine can be traced back to the capital of this former soviet republic, which was enough to pique our interest, but the city’s reputation as a diverse cultural hub (along with world-famous wine) sealed the deal. Tbilisi’s climate is classified as humid subtropical, so it may help to know that “humid subtropical” is a designation shared by the bulk of states comprising the southeastern U.S. As you’d expect, temperatures during summer months hover slightly above 90 degrees with enough humidity to make it feel even hotter. The city’s elevation makes broad-spectrum SPF products a no-brainer, but guys with oily skin should pack a tube of Deep Dive® Glycolic Facial Cleanser to help keep the oil at bay.

Bozeman, Montana: We’re fans of the exotic here at Jack Black, but every now and then, the adventure we’re looking for can be found in our own (nation’s) backyard. The area’s continental climate can swing pretty dramatically, so pack accordingly: summer highs often reach into the lower 90s, with lows dropping to the lower to mid-50s. As with Tbilisi, the town’s elevation can cause problems for anyone, but especially for those with dry or sensitive skin. Pack plenty of SPF stalwarts Sun Guard Sunscreen SPF 45Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25, and Double-Duty Facial Moisturizer SPF 20. And since you’re almost certainly planning to hit the trails, go ahead and grab some Dragon Ice® Relief & Recovery Balm to soothe minor pains and to relieve tense muscles.
