5 MINUTES WITH NFL QUARTERBACK MATT FLYNN

February 6, 2015 by Jack

Football players are no different than the average Joe when it comes to grooming routines. Whether they're on the road or at home, players have their grooming playbook at the ready. That’s why we’re excited to share a few tidbits from LSU alum and current Green Bay QB Matt Flynn's daily regimen.

What's your typical grooming routine like?
I’m pretty basic. I shave once or twice a week, but I’m not a daily shave guy. Luckily our profession allows us a little more flexibility than a traditional office.

Has your personal style changed since you entered the NFL?
In college, athletes often wear some type of university-issued gear. In the pros we have more flexibility when traveling. I like to look professional, but I have to be comfortable first and foremost.

You travel an enormous amount. Give us some tips for the products to always pack.
I only bring the necessities: toothpaste/toothbrush, deodorant, sunscreen, lip balm and Jack Black texture cream for my hair.

Any haircuts you wish you'd never had?
In sixth grade, I had a bowl cut and parted it down the middle.

If you were stranded on a deserted island, what is the one product you want to have with you?
If I could only pick one it would be Jack Black Sun Guard Sunscreen. There’d be nothing worse than a bad sunburn in that setting

The rigors of professional football are tough on the body and the skin, but the right products can mitigate the effects and offer a little TLC to even the most rugged athletes. Follow Flynn's example for a hassle-free routine with maximum results.
