HOW TO HAVE A NO SHAVE NOVEMBER
November 3, 2014 by Jack
So, what is No Shave November? Aside from the obvious (i.e., not shaving for the month of November), it’s an effort to raise cancer awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society. For the entire month of November, you take what you would have spent on razors, haircuts and waxing and donate it to the ACS. The
website has all the details. (And check out
their swag; they have some pretty cool tees.)
You can create a team and have a beard-off for the longest beard, craziest beard or worst adolescent-style beard. Post pics along the way. Track how close you are to reaching your donations goal. You can also join an existing team or make individual donations.
The concept came about as a way to stand in solidarity with cancer patients who often lose their hair as a result of chemotherapy and other treatments. Instead of putting time and money into your hair's upkeep, you show support by allowing it to grow unchecked.
But before you go all “Duck Dynasty,” we recommend investing in a bottle of our MP 10 Nourishing Oil. Its combination of 10 natural oils, including grape seed and argan, act as the ultimate beard conditioner as your whiskers get longer.
One hundred percent of the No Shave November funds go toward cancer research, and your donation is tax deductible. Gals can join in, too, and give those leg hairs a rest. The result might not be quite as desirable as their male counterparts, however. Let the growing begin!
