HAPPY TRAILS
September 18, 2014 by Jack
Man is primitive. Nevertheless, we get bound to city life as a result of work, travel and family. It’s not a bad thing, but sometimes you need to get away from the concrete jungle and get back to nature.
With the weather cooling down, it’s time to hit the trail. Literally. Check out our top five trails in North America for biking, hiking or trail running:
The Jewels Route, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
Now this is man vs. nature, and you won’t have a chance if you’re not prepared. Taking to the trails on foot? Make sure you have trail shoes, a well-provisioned pack, your favorite Intense Therapy Lip Balm and your hiking poles.
Bringing along your mountain bike? Load up on spare tubes, lights if going at dusk or dawn and a detailed trail map. Know the etiquette for sharing the trail and yielding to runners and hikers.
Whether walking, running or riding, make sure to protect your skin. Apply a healthy amount of Sun Guard Sunscreen SPF 45 to avoid burns; we recommend the Road Warriors 3-Pack for travel.
